Privacy Policy
This explains exactly what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to make us delete it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than the usual wall of clauses.
The short version. We collect what you type into our forms and assessment. We use it to send you your result, follow up, and stay in touch about our services. We do not sell it. We run no advertising trackers on this site. You can get a copy or have it deleted by asking.
1. Who we are
Platform One ("Platform One", "we", "us") operates platform1hq.com and provides business diagnostic and advisory services. We are the controller of the information described here.
Our contact details, including the postal address required for marketing email, are in section 11.
2. What we collect
We only collect information you give us. We do not buy lists and we do not scrape.
When you complete the P1 Index
- Your first and last name, work email address, company name and mobile number
- Your answers to the twenty assessment questions, and the scores calculated from them
- The revenue band you select and how soon you say you want the problem fixed
- A free-text answer describing what you would fix in your business first
- The page you arrived on and any campaign tags in the link you followed
When you use the contact form
- Your name, email, phone, company, revenue band and your message
Automatically
- Standard server logs held by our hosting provider, which include IP address and browser type. We do not use these to build a profile of you.
- Whether you opened an email we sent or clicked a link in it
Worth knowing. The free-text box asks what you would fix in your business tomorrow. People often write something candid there. It is stored with the rest of your record and read by our team. Do not put anything in it you would not want us to read, and please do not include confidential third-party information, financial account details, or anything about a named individual.
3. Why we collect it
| What | Why | Legal basis (UK/EU) |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, company | To send you your assessment brief and reply to you | Contract / legitimate interests |
| Assessment answers and scores | To produce your result and to prepare properly if we speak | Contract / legitimate interests |
| Mobile number | To text you your result and follow up | Consent |
| Revenue band and timing | To judge whether our services suit you, and to prioritise who we call | Legitimate interests |
| Marketing emails | To stay in touch about our services | Consent / legitimate interests |
We also look at assessment results in aggregate to understand which constraints are most common. That analysis is not tied back to you by name.
4. Text messages and calls
When you give us your mobile number on the assessment, the form states clearly that doing so means it is fine for us to text you your result and follow up by text or call. That is your express written consent, and we keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to along with the date and time.
Reply STOP to any text and we stop. That takes effect immediately and automatically. Consent to marketing texts is never a condition of buying anything from us. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies and is low: the current sequence sends two texts over roughly two months.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, and only on our instructions:
- GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.), our CRM, which stores your record and sends our email and text messages
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site and the software that routes your submission into our CRM
- Google Workspace, for our own email
We will also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
6. Cookies and tracking
This site runs no advertising trackers, no analytics pixels, and no third-party cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and nothing following you to other sites.
We use your browser's local storage for the assessment itself: to remember your answers so you can close the tab and resume, and to carry your result into the contact form so you do not retype it. That data stays in your browser and clearing your browser data removes it.
Two things on this site are loaded from other companies and will see your IP address as a result: an animation library from jsDelivr and photographs from Unsplash. Neither sets a tracking cookie for us.
7. How long we keep it
- Assessment results and contact records: for as long as we might reasonably do business with you, and no more than three years after your last interaction, unless you ask us to delete them sooner
- Records of your consent to be texted: at least five years after you opt out, because we may need to prove consent existed
- Client engagement records: seven years, for tax and professional reasons
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of what we hold about you
- Correct anything wrong
- Delete it
- Stop sending you marketing, which you can also do yourself from any email or text
Email us and we will action it within 30 days. We will not charge you and we will not treat you differently for asking.
9. If you are outside the United States
We are based in the United States and your information is stored there. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
10. If you are in California
In the last twelve months we have collected the categories described in section 2: identifiers, commercial information, and internet activity relating to our own emails.
We have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not process it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
You may request access, deletion, correction, and details of what we collect, and you may appoint an authorised agent to ask on your behalf. We do not discriminate against anyone who exercises these rights.
11. Contact
